This Privacy Policy describes how Yuriy Petrov
collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Advicer mobile
application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password — when you register with email/password.
- Google account name and email — when you sign in with Google.
User-Generated Content
- Advice and story text you submit within the App.
- All submitted text is processed by our automated moderation system to detect harmful or toxic content before it is stored.
Subscription & Purchase Data
- Your subscription tier (Free, Pro, or Premium) and usage quota counters (available advices, stories, and stars).
- Purchase transactions are processed by RevenueCat and Google Play. We do not store payment card details.
Usage & Diagnostic Data
- Firebase Analytics collects anonymised usage events (screens visited, features used, session length) and device information (OS version, device model, language).
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports including stack traces, device state, and app version to help us fix bugs.
Locally Stored Data
- Certain data (categories, seen stories, account preferences) is cached on your device using local storage to enable offline access and improve performance. This data never leaves your device except as part of normal sync operations.

- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To deliver the core features of Advicer (browsing, submitting, and rating advice and stories).
- To enforce subscription limits and process in-app purchases.
- To moderate user-submitted content for safety and policy compliance.
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns and improve the App.
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical issues.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides industry-standard
encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our moderation service processes submitted text
in memory only and does not permanently store the raw content. We take reasonable technical
measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
- Account and profile data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Analytics and crash data is retained per Google's default retention periods (up to 14 months for Analytics).
- Upon account deletion, your personal data and user-generated content are removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction — object to or restrict certain processing activities.
EU/EEA residents have these rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.
You can delete your account at any time from within the App. Analytics data collection
can be limited by adjusting your device's advertising and analytics settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Advicer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with
personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material
changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of
the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
